2015 Sierra Denali 1500 6.2l 8 speed trans hits rev limiter during full throttle on take off

Question type: General

Is this normal? At a full throttle take off, wheels smoking, the RPMs shoot up to 5700 in
first gear, then drops down a bit and back to 5700 into second gear. But in third gear the
RPMs build up into 6K range cutting power to engine for a second until RPMs drop back
into normal range. This is the first time I did a WOT from stand still on this truck. It has
2500 miles. T/C was off, using K&N drop in.This has happened two times. Thanks

It is a factory rev regulator more then likely but just to be on the safe side May way to google your vehicles factory specification to see if they put one on yours if I you can go and have a programmer Hooke up to you OBD and unlock all the factory setting in your ECU

These problems are caused by a loose nut behind the steering wheel.
