2015 chevy cruze alarm

Asked by Turbo8989 May 29, 2019 at 07:53 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze Eco Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 2015 Chevy Cruze Eco, certified used, and the alarm
goes off at around 7am and 11pm and randomly throughout the day. The left
rear passenger side door continues to say it is open when it is not. It has
been taken to Chevy several times and they replaced the door actuator (??)
plus have tried fuses and anything else they could. Its still happening after 5
repair attempts and now the clock has been malfunctioning as well, changing
the time by 15 minutes to 30 minutes. I regret buying this absolute piece of
junk but in the meantime is there anyway to fix this? Has anyone else
experienced this?

Certified means it should have a warranty. Keep after them until you are satisfied.

If you have door sensor and clock problems at the same time, you more than likely have a network issue within the body control module. This can be caused by bad wires inside a harness. This problem will require an advanced diagnostic technician to find and repair

I was searching on google why my Chevy Cruze 2015 alarm kept going on and found this post everything stated is all the issues I deal with. One of my backseat doors kept saying unlocked and the system would go through the alert procedures. Many attempts I thought I was in denial but realized it is the car. The alarm goes off randomly, there is always something wrong with this car. A dealer told me they are not good quality cars. I see why and has been my biggest regret.
