Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have put new tires and endless remounting and used sealants but they still keep losing air. is there a fix to this
other than buying new wheels , or has this issue happen to anyone else?

Some times the wheel is pitted. Try applying silicone grease to the edge of the rim where the tire mounts. Or better yet sand it down first and then apply If this is the case, you should be able to see bubbles around the rim/tire if you apply soapy water (laying the mounted tire on its side). Sometimes aluminum wheels just leak. That could be the problem but the odds of them all leaking are fairly remote. Good luck,,...ldc

i had a set of rims that had that problem.i ran a grinder with a wire brush on the edge of the rim and put new valve stems and it fixed the problem.the inside of the mag rims where pitted.
