Question type: General

what type of tire chains can I use on a 2015 Subaru outback 2.5 i Premium
with Milestar sport   225/65/17 tires?  Should they be on all 4 tires due to
damage to car if only on front or back? Thanks

Type S low profile tire cables. Read your owners manual but as I recall Subaru only recommends putting cables on the front tires which makes no sense to me but that is what they recommend for my 15 Forester.

I had heard that you can't just put them on front or back tires only due to causing damage to differential/ trans? Is that true? Do you recommend any brand or type as I've never used tire chains/ cables? Thanks

I want them for deeper snow and areas where it is required to have them, i.e. Colorado, etc.

Like I said. Read your owners manual, my 2015 Forester's manual says only the front and I do not know why they say that. I live in snow country and never have needed my cables although we carry them because of legal requirements. You may want to buy a set of Blizzaks for the winter.

"F_O_R" If I get the Blizzaks and wheels, do you know if I can go to 18" . Will they have clearance? I hear they are better. Thanks
