I have a rough idle and a miss and did a full plug wore cap and rotor replacement and still runs rough. I have good fuel pressure and spark. not sure what else to look at? starts up rough but quickly, so I thought Iwould rule out the fuel pressure regulator. Any ideas out there?

I replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Yes it did it before I did it. Figured itmayhave been the cap since it was very very corroded.

could be a vacuum leak or injector. if you can get to your injectors while it is running unplug one then plug it back in one at a time see if any change with any of them. also i think chevy had a problem with the back of the intake leaking you might check for that

I had a 92 Chevy k1500 5.7 that had a rough idle and slight miss..... if it has a distributor and not individual coil packs there is a wire from the distributor to firewall... disconnect the wire and turn the ignition key to the one position and even try to start if need be.... but if you disconnect the wire it somehow resets the memory to the ignition firing... may even be able to disconnect the battery with the distributor to firewall wire disconnect.... let set for a few minutes and reconnect everything and it should take care of the problem.... if not it could possibly be the distributor itself or a faulty ignition coil
