Asked by fordguy85 Oct 09, 2016 at 03:24 PM about the 2015 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Have a 2015 Explorer XLT. Noticed a midewy smell as soon as i turn my AC
on. Looked under the bidy and sure enough theres no condensation dripping
out. Must be a clogged evaporator drain whitch is leady to fungal growth
inside the evaporator. Got the stuff to fix it, just cand find the evaprator drain
port. Anybody know where it is? Thanks

It is under the sound dampening material on the firewall on the right side... the drain is not usually clogged... check they u don't have leaves rotting in the cowl by the wind shield under the hood... also did u ever change the cabin air filter
