Just what is wrong with my truck and fuel pump?

My 1999 GMC Sonoma SLS just quit working I tried to start
it and then it just kept going over like it was trying to get
gas what do I do. And I can't hear the fuel pump run

Check the fuel pump relay, which is mounted under the hood. Then check for proper voltage to the pump assembly. Google or YT videos for how to check relay and power to pump.
