i own a 2002 ford ranger edge!! yes it does have a rev limiter as per the ford mechanics have said, 90 mph or 4k rpm's it will kick your fuel injectors off, and at 3k rpm at park.

A REV limiter would never cut off the speed of a vehicle unless you fully wound out your gears with out having a speed governer. Most cars have Speed Governers that Stop an engine from pushing your vehicle past a previously determined speed. Most Vehicles are before 100MPH but if its at 90 MPH your truck is just really slow lol.

The middle aged ford rangers were made and sold with aluminium drive shaft to cut down on weight of the vehicle. The speed limiter is set at 90 mph if we set it any higher the drive shaft would brake causing the drive shaft to hit the ground when it hits the ground it digs into the asphalt causing the truck to flip and potentially killing yourself. From a ford mechanic.

My 2004 is just starting to let go at 92.5 mph, then, it's like it is just firing two cylinders, and dragging two. I.dont need dad telling me what time to be home. I'm 62 years old. This little truck can take on a big block on a short stretch and reminds me of my 66 mustang's with 289 HP engines. Maybe though,.I just can out shift and out drive the punks and hillbillies with tha big blocks. I'm sure they all voted for Trump. Signed, Need to go beyond 92.5 mph
