Starting problems

I was given a 2000 GMC Yukon but the
problem is that it won't start the guy who
give it to me said it should be starter or
security I changed the starter put brand new
one on I try to crank it but it just clicks I'm
not sure about any security problem I need
help

i would put a brand new battery if that don't work since you already changed the starter ....then you might have to sorry to say this but to replace the brain which what I mean is the computer under the hood , its not cheap to buy one its better to have it rebuilt and reprogrammed
