Asked by LouCaniac Jun 16, 2018 at 08:31 AM about the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: General

The 2015 chevy silverado came with text
messaging feature. This reads your text to you and
allows you to reply with voice to text. You have to
have the IO6 radio (which I have) to have e this
feature. The 2500 HD didn't come with this.  How
can I add the feature? Is this a simple add on or a
radio replacement?

According to Chevrolet, the 2015 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD did not come with that feature. My question is why and how can I upgrade my radio (I06) to read incoming text messages?
