Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 03 GMC Yukon is losing a battery charge while I'm driving. I have a new battery and the alternator was tested as good. When I'm idling or I take my foot off the gas, the battery gauge starts to fall and then it stalls. Any ideas of what this could be?

If the belt is slipping then the alternator will not charge properly. Check all your battery and electrical connections and make sure they are clean and tight.

We fixed the problem by cleaning the throttle body. It runs great now.
