2003 SLS Sonoma radio fuses

Asked by Alfredo Jun 09, 2020 at 10:42 AM about the 2003 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 SLS Sonoma has two fuses for the radio. In the fuses box fuse 19 is
identified as "radio Batt" and fuse 24 as "radio Ign". I want to know what happen
if I remove these fuses and run the truck without them. I want to troubleshoot
battery drainage starting with these fuses but feel unsure about removing them.

Seems a silly question but because the fuses are identified as mentioned I was afraid something else could be affected. Also I forgot to mention that when I remove fuse 19 the gauges stop working.
