2014 tundra no power except security light

Asked by GuruJFXXT Aug 08, 2020 at 09:47 PM about the 2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 CrewMax 5.7L FFV 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to the store this morning on a clear day came back
home and set back out a few hours later. The key fob didn't
unlock the truck and I noticed I had no power and truck will
not turn over. I checked again tonight and noticed the
security light blinking but is the only hint of power i see in
this truck. What could be wrong? Jump box did nothing and
and battry is 2 years old with 12.6 volts

Figured out my issue, the battery post has a positive battery terminal block in which the main power, a secondary power and amplifier power attach to. While the post had corrosion on it and cleaning it did nothing, taking the attached wires off and cleaning them did the trick. Apparently having an amplifier will speed up the corrosion process and needs to be looked at every now and then. Anyway problem solved....clean the heck out of all points of contact around the battery.
