Don't know why nothin can be done, Just go to a custom shop and pick out a seat that you like and have it installed. I did this in one of my trucks, the seat I put in was $1100 back in 1996 tho but it was nice!

Or see if there is an electric or manually adjustable OEM option for that model and get one or even a used one from another truck custom fitted.

Just bought a new 2018 Silverado LTZ. The leather bucket seats are unbearably uncomfortable. After 30 minutes , both my legs actually start going numb and asleep. The pressure on my upper thighs is unbearably painful. Don't even have 1000 miles on it since it is actually painful to drive it. Not sure what to do.. I'm 6 ft and 270 lbs.and bought a full sized truck for room and comfort..Man was I let down. Should have never bought this truck. I test drove 3 different Silverados, all with bench seats and didn't notice this problem. I had a 2002 Silverado and it was the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. Nice wide soft leather bucket seats. Now I have no room and hard seats. Not sure why GM did this.I went backwards getting this truck and selling my 2002.

My back is out, been in bed for a week for the first time in 15 years since driving my new 2020 Silverado. The seats are unbearably hard and uncomfortable. Too short on the bottom and no lumbar support. I also wish to not have this truck that I paid over 40,000 for. I actually hate it becasue of the seats. I would have had to go on a 100 mile test drive to realize how absolutely horrible they are. Unbelievably uncomfortable. And I am in serious pain becasue of them. There are ZERO replacement seats that will work in this truck, as it has side airbags in the seats, and a switch in the passenger seat that turns the airbag on and off on that side.
