Driver side window intermitantly works 2002 expedition xlt

Asked by Christian Jan 02, 2016 at 10:20 PM about the 2002 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi.

I have a 2002 expedition and my driver
side window randomly starts working and
then stops. The window motor sounds
completely fine and the relays and fuses
look good when it works. When it's not
working, the fuse box makes the regular
clicking noise but no movement. If anyone
has any suggestions please let me know.

with the door open key on and engine off press the switch and watch the dome light for a brightness change when it isn't working. If it changes then the problem is probably with the motor, if it does not change then the problem is probably in the drivers master window switch.
