Just wanted to know what is the biggest and widest tire that will fit on an original 255 70 16 rim for a 4 wheel drive expedition?

I think your safe max would be 285/75 R16 if you still want a little wiggle room to ensure nothing rubs. your stock tires are 30"tall and 10" wide with a 285/75 R16 tire you will be 33" tall and 11.5" wide. i know it may not sound like much but trust me you will notice it and will give your ride that somewhat lift look :)
