Honda CRV oil change after 18 month. Should I be concerned?

Asked by Guru81C8Y Jan 02, 2020 at 12:21 PM about the 2014 Honda CR-V EX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car got his oil changed in May 2018 and sat at the dealership 5 months
before I bought it (used car - 2014). In December 2019, the reader showed
15% still despite driving 6200 miles (10,000km) over that time span. I drive in
warm to hot climate where the car is never below freezing temperature.
Should I be concerned for waiting that long? Is this a delay that should be
avoided? Remember that it was showing 15%. Thanks for your input.

I would not worry. Change oil at least twice a year regardless of the miles or percentage shown on the reminder.
