Is the fix as simple as replacing the transmission fluid or a new transmission

Changing the fluid now is too late. Change it more often next time.

Have the dealer diagnose it, your car uses a CVT transmission. They can suggest a fix.

Your car does not use ACV T transmission that guy is wrong the 2014 has a regular 5 speed transmission a problem with them is they need a transmission control module replaced and and change of transmission fluid
