Positive battery cable plastic fuse

I was replacing the battery in my car and the
positive cable that has the plastic fuse part
attached to it broke in half. Is it possible to
solder it?

No, that will change the amperage of the circuit. It has to be replaced. There maybe an aftermarket solution, check with your local parts supplier.

First, I don't understand how the cable itself broke in half. Do you mean the fuse assembly broke in half? If it's the cable and you want to cheapen out, just get one from a salvage yard. If it's the fuse assembly that broke, replacing the cable will also replace that. Of course, considering your time and mileage, It would probably be cheaper to just get a new replacement cable nearby.
