no heat

Asked by Vivi Nov 20, 2014 at 11:36 AM about the 2004 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The thermostat is at 110 and it is not getting hot so Im not getting any heat. I have luke
warm air coming through the vents. There is antifreeze in there. It is blowing air out but
not hard

Thermostat is opening to soon,160 to 180 is normal to get good heat,change the thermostat.

thank you. that means i need to and put in shop? how long and much does that usually take?

It wont, take long to do,and not that bad of job to do,should be less than a hundred dollar,s.Parts and labor.

My truck takes a long time to send hot air out after 20 minutes or 25 minutes, after I'm riding to my destination that's when the heat finally warm the truck up what could it be
