Was there a issue concerning the antifreeze on the
2004 model?
Or 2003 models?  Or is this even true?

Not true. HOWEVER, the Dexcool has had documented problems with all years. Me personally, I think it's a preference, Dexcool or the green stuff. Don't mix the two, use either Dex or drain completely and use the green.
