04 GMC Envoy misfire

Asked by Sara Jul 28, 2017 at 09:49 PM about the 2004 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLT SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 2004 GMC Envoy SLT with
the L6 engine. It was running beautifully absolutely
perfect until I started it one morning was idling fine
as soon as I turned on the front defrost it
immediately cut out and has been misfiring ever
since. Took it to AutoZone to run Diagnostics and it
through the code P0 300 multiple misfires
detected. I need to know what's causing the
misfires so I can fix it

I believe you may have 2 different problems here. Problems with idle when AC/Defroster are turned on means the throttle body needs to be cleaned with fuses #10 and #28 removed. Battery was probably disconnected at some point prior to your purchase, very very common and a cheap fix. The P0300- did it recently rain?
