Vibrations when holding foot on brake and car is in gear.

Asked by 46205 Dec 06, 2018 at 11:12 AM about the 2005 GMC Envoy 4 Dr SLT SUV

Question type: General

Replaced the motor mounts on my 05 Envoy and within 2 weeks one broke! So the vibrations started again, (in any gear with my foot on the brake). Runs fine when taking off from a stop. What would be causing the motor mount on passengers side to break? I checked the transmission mount and it's good. Removed throttle body and cleaned thoroughly, replaced spark plugs and coils, replaced MAF Sensor. All idle pulley's are good, no noises.
U-joints on drive shaft are good. Don't know what else to do :/

If you did not use AC Delco motor mounts, I can see the fails. After market motor mounts tend to go out very fast on our platform. If you didn't use Delco, go buy Delco and forget about it.

That's the sad part, they were GM motor mounts :/
