05 gmc envoy has problems starting

I  replaced 5he battery on my 05 gmc envoy  Cuzco it was
dead now sometimes it starts fine and there times it acts
like it's dead but if u unhook the nagitive cable and then
hook it back up it starts

poor connection somewhere,clean and try petroleum jelly on the battery terminals, also clean the other end of the battery wires.
