Heat and air does come out
of the vent on the dash or the
floor. What could be stopping
it and how do I fix it

If you are not getting any flow at all then it could be the blower or the blower resistor.

I wrote it wrong, the heat and air only comes out through the smallest vents at the sides of the dash and through the defrost. What stops it from coming through the vents in the direct front of dash
