Tapping Engine Nosie

Asked by USCGMK Dec 30, 2018 at 08:22 PM about the 2014 Dodge Durango Limited RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Top end tapping nosie on 2014 Dodge
Durango.  Thinking possible lifter or lifters
unable to locate which side. Will changing oil
to synthetic and adding a oil treatment fix this
issue or should I just take it to auto repair
shop. Also how much would it cost me to
have a lifter replaced? I could do the job my
self if need to as well. I have a video but
unable to post. Does not sound like exhaust
leak to me. Can send video if any would like
to listen and tell what they think.

First I would try using Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer this may or may not work but it worked for me when my lifters was tapping.
