Question type: Maintenance & Repair

at random times, the climate control module will not operate. it can be on and
just go blank or when I start the engine, it won't operate. later, it may or may not
come on. doesn't matter if I hit bumps or rap on the console. fuses are working.

Hello there. Pretty common problem for the blower motor resistor to go out. Most important pc of info here is whether you have automatic controls (digital) or manual. Manual, the part is called blower motor resistor. Auto, part is called blower motor control module. Both look the same, but are NOT interchangeable. 2nd most important part, replace the pigtail that goes to it also, it's a must. Those tend to melt on the inside, you'll end up burning up your new resistor/module. This problem is so common on our platform, it really should have been a recall.
