Lift

Asked by Bigdummydog Apr 23, 2018 at 04:59 AM about the 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2005 ford crown Victoria police
interceptor. I want that tall mean look. Now
it sits at 10",on 16"225 weels & tires, 2, 3"
between tire & car. I want it to sit at 13" on
17" weels with big aggressive tires, with no
rubbing when turning or slamming on big
dips. I want it to handle good & drive
smooth. What size tire do you suggest?
What should I do to suspension?

You can install adjustable air shocks to gradually lift the body to fit 17" wheels. This, of course, will require some work and knowledge. As a retired Sheriff Deputy, I can tell you that the Ford Crown Vic's Police Interceptors I drove conveyed lots of respect just the way they came from the factory, without that "tall, meal look" you want. Good luck with your project.

Universal makes a "Donk" kit for the GET-TOE look, but I believe these kits are not true suspension kits for "off road" or aggressive driving... I think Eibach makes a 2" or 3" suspension lift with coil springs and the right sized shocks.
