Are you sure the torque converter is seated all the way back into the transmission? Did you spin and push the torque converter on when installing it? There should be barely enough room for your fingers between the back of the torque converter and bell housing to fit. The studs need to be aligned to go threw the holes of the flex plate. You would want to rotate the torque converter. You would want to loosen the transmission bolts in the bell housing to be able to rotate the torque converter. Do not crank on the engine.

We pushed it all the way back and spun it until it went back into the transmission two times. Im going to try spinning it and see if it will go into the holes. Its a new tranny so the lines i had marked from the old one isnt lining up.
