Idling and dying

Asked by GuruV7SKM Sep 18, 2018 at 10:07 PM about the 1988 Dodge Dakota S RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 88 dodge Dakota will start up and idle
good for a minute then die. I can pump the
peddle and it keeps running or I can hold the
peddle and the motor revs up and down has
anyone had this problem?

Yes I replaced my ful regulator in my 1989 2.5 ful injection and it runs fine now... when I let off the gas it was still putting to much gas in it to make it die...45 bucks at auto zone next day delivery.
