This want be a fuse,it will be the fuel gauge float stuck in the tank,

Yep ... it's a float ,,, just like in the toilet (a lot smaller) as the gas rises and lowers it sends a signal that goes to your gauge ,,, Like T_S_T said there's no fuse ,,,, the current coming from that float is so low because it's in the gas tank (Gotta be careful with sparks back there)
