Should I get rid of this car or invest in fixing it?

Asked by GuruK7VD9 Dec 18, 2019 at 11:04 PM about the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought this used 2014 chevy cruze back in
July 2018. So far it has had 3 things go bad
before  the car has even reached 75,000
miles. I had to get an intake manifold valve
replaced ($600) Then a water pump ($230)
And now I need a catalytic converter ($600). I
only think this car is going to keep giving me
more problems down the road. Who truly
knows if something in my engine is damaging
my catalytic converter or if it’s just gone bad.
I’m awful with cars so I can’t look at these
things myself. I wish I could trade it in but I
just can’t afford that. Plus I won’t get much for
it

I would fix it. If the car was a few years older I might advise to dump it. If you don't like it, fix it and sell it!
