The R134a change over on my 92 s10 has worked great for about 5 years until now I am replacing the compressor. accumulator. would I still need to do a vacuum because of replacing these 2 items ?

Releasing refrigerants into the atmosphere is illegal.

very helpful answer. my compressor has gone bad and no refrigerants are in it what so ever. If it had refrigerants in it chances are i would not be needing to service it.

You will need vacuum to fill it.

My 1995 Chevy s10 is overheating once a day? I start the truck I let it idle for a min or so. Then take off. Usually about 5 mile down. It starts to over heat so I stop. Turn off key. Turn bac on. Then the temp is low enough to take off. It won't overheat at all the rest of the day. But the next morning same thing. I have replaced thermostats, thinking bad one. I have put radiator fluid in. Flushed the system. I got so mad at it. That I bought new motor. It stopped for a couple of months. Then started the same thing. 9 Answers

Its our daily vehicle. Do I need to get rid of. Cause I love that truck and dont want to part with.

what is the role of vacuum canister in Chevy S10? Can I just block the vacuum line that is suppost to connect with the vacuum canister? I think I lost the conction port and also it is hard to reach area? 6 Answers
