The R134a change over on my 92 s10 has worked great for about 5 years until now I am replacing the compressor. accumulator. would I still need to do a vacuum because of replacing these 2 items ?

very helpful answer. my compressor has gone bad and no refrigerants are in it what so ever. If it had refrigerants in it chances are i would not be needing to service it.
