is a 1984 s10 small pickup motor the same as a 1987 midsize s10????

power seering pump bracket broke on my 87 s10 midsize 4wd .... has little
seats that fold down behind the seats in cab......and a friend has a "smaller 84
s10 for parts. are they interchangeable?/

An s10 is and s10. Your referring to standard cab vs extended cab I'm guessing? As far as the brackets go the 84 might have had a v-belt setup and your 87 should have a serpentine belt. If so the brackets won't line up. Not to mention I don't know what motor you each have. There is a 2.8 v6 and a 2.5 4 cly. And I think in 84 there was a 2.0 4 cyl as well.
