97 GEO prizm running hot replace water pump thermostat and radiator, fan. what could be the problem?

Is the fan coming on? The fan relay switch may need to be replaced. Did you replace the radiator cap too? Radiator cap failure is very common with this vehicle model. Both of these are fairly inexpensive items to try.

The cooling system needs to be purged from air pockets when refilling it. So if you have not done this, here is a video on how to purge the cooling system... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpXgAJ1gjU
