Fuel problem

I have an 87 f250 with a 7.5 that has fuel
problems.One day fuel flows 10 min later there is
no fuel.Only fuel pumps I have are in tank.It has a
new relay and inertia switch.Any ideas why it
sometimes work and other times it doesn't
