1989 Ford f150 won't start

Asked by Michael Jul 29, 2019 at 07:50 PM about the 1989 Ford F-150 S Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been having starting issues.  Started with replacing starter, solenoid, key
and tumbler and lastly the ignition switch.  Truck still wouldn't start.  You could
cross out the solenoid and it would run.  This morning, I put turned key into
start position, and there was a loud pop from the truck. I could not tell where it
came from.  Now, nothing happens when you turn key on.  No power at all.  I
again replaced solenoid and ignition switch.  All fuses are good.  Anyone have
any ideas?
