Fuel

Asked by Al938 Mar 22, 2015 at 07:55 PM about the 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Standard Cab LB

Question type: General

I seem to be losing the prime from my fuel line. After setting for a day or two it doesn't
want to start until I leave the ignition on for 20 to 40 seconds. I can hear the pump clicking
and as soon as it stops it will start. What would cause this problem. Thank You

After setting for a day or two it the fuel leaks back to the tank ( no gas on the ground ) and loses it's prime and needs to pump and fill the fuel lines back up before it will start.
