Can I keep driving my 2003 Ford Ranger edge with the check engine light on.

As long as it is driving fine. But plan on getting it checked ASAP.

Unfortunately, the check engine light could be caused by a number of issues. Could be as simple as a loose gas cap. No one can say for sure if it is safe to drive with the light on if we don't know why it is on. Take it to an AutoZone or other parts store and have the computer codes pulled.

Yes but some problems could mean you are causing expensive damage by driving it. Best to diagnose the problem before driving it again.
