88 f-159 302 v-8, dual gas tanks replaced both fuel pumps and vent grommets and new fuel filter. Fuel pumps hum..what's causing it?

Dual tanks.  Replaced both fuel pumps ,vent groments & fuel filter.  Truck only
has 43,500 miles. Took off resivor understand cleaned it.   Fuel pumps hum.
