No spark from ignition coil.

Asked by Slim96cobra Jan 26, 2017 at 09:47 AM about the 1988 Ford F-150 S Standard Cab 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In my 1988 Ford f150 4.9L I replaced the ignition
coil, alternator, battery, did the standard tune-up
new cap rotor plugs and wires. New ignition
switch, New clutch safety switch and more. Have
had a lot of problems with this truck and still can't
get spark the go from the coil to the distributor
cap. We have power going into the ignition coil
from testing all the wires but nothing! Why?

Check the coil pack itself. The only other thing, I would guess is that is that is not properly grounded, or you have a bigger electrical issue on your hands. Best of luck!
