if it runs on starting fluid and doesnt without it. your not gettin fuel. you are obviously getting spark since it runs when you introduce a fuel source.

I see I didnt catch that you said it stays running once started with fluid. Thats my bad. pop the fuel rail up and see if the injectors are opening when someone cranks the truck.

If injector doesn't open and has 30 psi on fuel rail then what should I look for?

It may not being seeing rpm for some reason when cranking. the computer grounds them. I just dont know why it would work once running. You could check the tps sensor. I have seen on a chevy one time it thought it was at wide open throttle and it wouldnt spray fuel. clear flood mode I think it was called.

There are no codes on when it is running or cranking that should throw a code in flood mode open loop good idea though I have seen the same how did you reset it?

It runs perfect idle perfect good responce runs for hours until you cut it off then won't crank up and run until you shoot some fluid in it it's got me.
