Help! I have a '87 Ford f 150 with zero power!

Asked by dtyoung49 Nov 09, 2017 at 05:40 PM about the 1987 Ford F-150 XL Standard Cab 4WD LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I accidently crossed some taillight wires and burnt a fuse.
Replaced the fuse and still no power anywhere. I did get the
starter relay to crank over using the screwdriver as a bypass.
Added gas to intake _ still no power? Any advice?

No power anywhere? Shorted something out, probably in the main fuse panel. You will have to use a volt meter and check for voltage going to the main fuse panel. If voltage is there, begin checking all your fuses. If no voltage, back track toward the battery and see if there is a burnt wire. Process of elimination.
