why is it not running?

HI THERE, STEVE ROSS HERE,  I HAVE A 1985 FORD F150 WITH A 351W. I
HAVE REPLACED ,, FUEL PUMP ,, COIL, MODULAR,, AND THE
DISTRIBUTOR AND REBUILD THE CARBURETOR,, AND REPLACED THE
SPARK PLUGS AND THE WIRES,, STILL WILL NOT START. CAN YOU HELP
ME

How is the engine compression, how much timing chain slop does the engine have, are you sure you have spark?

All those parts you bought still leave you at step one , Check for proper spark , fuel pressure and delivery , compression and in this case timing . Look for good motor to chassis ground ,, 85 was transition years from carbs. to tbi etc. so could be vacuum leak or any number of things .Is the fuel pump sucking air from rot where the line goes over the rear axle block ? Have you poured some fuel down the carb to see if it fires ?
