2014 Ford Flex

Asked by pam Sep 13, 2018 at 12:59 PM about the 2014 Ford Flex SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Flex SEL that was just diagnosed with a faulty PCM. Dealership
mechanic isn't sure if carbon buildup in combustion chamber may have
contributed but recommends chemical cleaning treatment to the tune of $360.
Any thoughts as to the necessity for this?

Have him show you proof that this is needed. If you have the direct injection ecoboost this problem is possible. Ask about ECU reprogramming to fix this problem.
