Chick engine light came on took it to the shop get
it scan , scan show that the air flow sensor , I went
and buy a new sensor and install it but the light is
still there  , how long will it take for it to come off ..

It should recognize right away, once you crank the car some vehicles have a 3 cycle trip circuit (if error is not reported 3rd time light goes away). But you car being fairly modern should recognize right away. There may be an up stream and down stream sensor, and you may not have gotten right sensor changed out. (Verify that)
