I have a 2014 Honda accord with a 2.4l Vtech engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It says to use 0-20 weight motor oil
but I heard other people say it depends on the
weather ,is that true?Oh and I have a little
over 100,000 miles if that matters to know
what oil I can use right now I do use mobile
one full synthetic is that brand OK
Please help out thank you

0w-20 is fine. I wouldn't use any other weight besides what it recommends because the oil ports are so small on those engines. Also you'd have issues with the variable valve timing or V-tech in which Honda has. If you would use a different oil weight then excess engine wear could occur as well. Any brand regarding 0w-20 weight should be fine but if you like Mobile 1 it is a great option.
