Check engine light is on but code reader isn't

Does the code reader state it will work on your vehicle? Does your datalink connector look like the picture? Check pin 16 for voltage, you can use a test light, hot all the time and fuse protected. If no voltage, check fuse, f12da--10 amp, interior fuse box.
