Sanner for Tranmission

Asked by LeMule May 22, 2019 at 02:40 PM about the 2013 RAM 1500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What scanner can be used to check temp levels on my Ram 1500 tradesman
when changing out the transmission fluid?

1 Answer

You could use a non contact thermometer on the transmission pan. A full feature OBD2 scanner could possibly show the operating temperature. There are also dongles that you can buy and use with your smart phone to monitor various operating parameters.
