brake lights not responding to pedal

Asked by mikemontero Mar 02, 2015 at 11:35 PM about the 1986 Mitsubishi Montero Base 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

checked all fuses, and checked and replaced switch. On "brake fuse" only reading 4v on
meter. trying to fix without rewiring.

Thanks for all the answers. Found it myself. Two shorts in the wires running to the back lights.
